SUNDAY OCTOBER 20, 2019 / 6PM-8:30PM
DOORS OPEN 5PM at the Cobo Center, the same venue where NIIC 2019 takes place.
Co-located with NIIC 2019, the Presidential Forum is organized by the National Partnership for New Americans, Michigan United, People’s Action and Fair Immigration Reform Movement-Action.
The Forum will uplift with leading Presidential candidates the concerns of our communities -- immigrant and refugee rights and inclusion, racial and economic justice and equity, criminal justice, poverty and workers’ rights, and environmental justice. Over 2,500 community members and leaders from across the country and Michigan are expected to attend.
The 2020 election will be a turning point for our country, and our communities need a seat at the table. Together, a broad coalition of faith, labor, community, immigrant, and environmental groups are working to ensure that candidates for President have to answer to the big questions that matter to us. By standing together, we can demonstrate our power and unity. Community members will share their lives and struggles with candidates, and demand clear explanation of how, as President, the candidates will work to improve our lives.
The Forum is free, open to the public and a C3 non-partisan event. All NIIC attendees are invited to join us and can register for the Forum at the same time you register for NIIC.
